The latest clip from the ongoing Tales of Herding Gods donghua has Granny Si evading and then fighting the sect leaders who are in pursuit, so that they can steal the Demon Bible from her.
Unfortunately for them, Granny Si has been one of the most powerful figures in the cultivation world for decades. So it isn’t long before she has persuaded them to fight each other instead of her.
And then she defeats each of them, while looking beautiful and graceful as she does.
Meanwhile, Qin Mu’er is also fleeing from the same people’s lackies, but is soon saved by senior members of his own Sacred Sect.
He also doesn’t realize it is Granny Si who is fighting the sect leaders, as he is not aware she isn’t quite the old lady he thinks she is.
Tales of Herding Gods donghua
The donghua itself has been one of the most spectacular Chinese animated series released.
Not only in 2025, but in general, as it combines a unique story with quirky, cool and crazily powerful characters, a gorgeous art style and solidly fluid animation. Particularly in the incredible fight scenes.
Throw in a banger of a soundtrack, and if you haven’t begun watching Tales of Herding Gods yet, and are a sucker for a good donghua, it should be at the top of your list.
