Tales of Herding Gods Ep 87 clip has Granny Si possessed by Li Tianxing as Rulai tries to free her
A new clip is out for Tales of Herding Gods, Episode 87 as Qin Mu’er, Grandpa Blind and Old Ma take Granny Si to see Old Rulai at the Great Thunderclap Monastery as she has been almost completely possessed by Li Tianxing.
After Old Rulai says he needs Li Tianxing to properly reveal himself before he can start with the exorcism, everyone turns their backs (including Mu ‘er, who is forced to by the granddads) as Li Tianxing is so beautiful when he appears as Granny Si’s younger self, he may just tempt sect members and any other man who sees the gorgeous beauty.
A confrontation then unfolds between Sect Leader Li and Old Rulai, as Granny Si’s younger self appears but, due to being possessed by Li Tianxing, the onversation immediately becomes centered on the nature of beauty, illusion, and spiritual enlightenment as she asks “Do you think I’m beautiful?”
Rulai argues that beauty is superficial and limited to human perception, even showing her through a mystical mirror that she really is only nothing but bones covered in skin.
But, as you would expect from Li, he rejects this philosophical restraint, insisting on living a thrilling, defiant life rather than a spiritually “perfect” one.

The exchange escalates into a looming conflict involving sect forces and the Thousand-Master Pagoda, where Rulai plans to subdue Li using spiritual methods and ancient guardians.
It remains to be seen, however, whether the Thousand-Master Pagoda is strong enough to be able to contain Li Tianxing. Or will he break free and take Granny Si’s body with him?
