So a Goblin’s Life is Looking Pretty Good Right Now!
Okay, fellow isekai enthusiasts, mark your calendars, set your alarms, and prepare your snacks, because we have officially reached peak hype!
That’s because the news dropped this week for one of my most anticipated shows of the coming season — ‘So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?‘ — and let me tell you, the new trailer and main visual released this week have sent my excitement through the roof.
We slso finally have a concrete premiere date: October 5th, 2026.
That’s right, fellow isekai fans, our favorite goblin salaryman is coming to screens very, very soon!
That New So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? Trailer and Visual!
If you haven’t seen the main trailer yet, do yourself a favor and drop everything to watch it. (Watch down below!)
It’s cuter than cute, and with a gorgeous art style and superb animation. And no, there shouldn’t be any goblin slayer here.
And one of the best parts?
We finally get to hear the opening theme song, “Hello” by Sou, and it’s an absolute banger that perfectly captures the adventurous and slightly mischievous tone of the series.
And don’t even get me started on the new main visual.

It depicts our protagonist, Akira, and the entire supporting ensemble gathered in the goblin village, and it’s just so vibrant. It makes the world feel so alive and full of characters I can’t wait to get to know.
Seeing them all together, in such high-quality art, really makes the wait feel almost unbearable, doesn’t it? Yep, as you can tell, as a huge isekai fan, I’m very excited about this one.
The Talent Behind the Goblin
This anime isn’t just being thrown together either, as it has a solid looking team behind it.
Directed by Ryota Kawahara (who has worked as an episode director on anime like Overlord and 86), and produced by new animation studio BAKKKA, the team also includes Yuichiro Momose, who worked on the fantastic So I’m a Spider, So What?
With that kind of newish team that has a lot to prove then, I am guessing we may just get stellar animation, visuals and solid series composition and scripts, aren’t you?
Fingers crossed and let’s hope so.

Why You Should Be Hyped for the So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? anime adaptation
For those who don’t know the manga source material, I’m here to tell you it’s a fantastic, action-packed story that, if adapted correctly, could be one of the standout isekai series in a while.
Written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Tsukasa Araki, it tells the story of Akira, a selfless Japanese salaryman, who dies saving a kid and reincarnates in a fantasy world… as a goblin.
But here’s the twist: normally, goblins live for only seven days (yep, that short of a time!), but Akira’s unique skills give him a much longer lifespan, and that means he’s determined to rise to the top.
The story also goes from being a simple “monster reincarnation” to a full-blown political drama.
Akira becomes a recognized goblin aristocrat, but he soon faces a massive challenge: an “anti-goblin alliance” of four powerful aristocratic families who refuse to accept a former monster in their ranks.
It’s a thrilling story of strength, leadership, and navigating the tricky waters of high society, and I can’t wait to see it animated!
The premise is fresh, from the trailer the production values look fantastic, and the story is full of potential. October 5th can’t come soon enough, right?!
