Now, I am probably one of the few people who got to Episode 6 of the original Japanese version of Tamon’s B-Side and gave up the ghost.
Sure, the anime was cute and funny, for a while. But then… by Episode 6, it had become apparent Utage is so far into her “fan persona”, she’s never going to come out and, if you think Tamon was crazy at the beginning of the anime, wait till you hit Episode 6.
That being said, I did end up going back to it a couple of weeks later and watched Episode 7 and beyond.
To the point that, I can now tell you if you can get through Episode 6 and not want to cause one of the main characters actual harm, you may end up liking this as much as I eventually did. Faults and all.
And, lucky for you, if you haven’t started it yet as you are waiting for the English dub, that is finally now arriving on Crunchyroll tomorrow — May 7th.
I am now here to tell you, when it does kick off and you eventually get to Episode 6, push your way through it if you have the same reaction I did, and you will have few regrets.

Tamon’s B-Side finally gets its English dub
The Tamon’s B-Side English dub also has some pretty sweet voice actors providing the voices for both the main roles, plus numerous supporting characters.
The just-announced English dub cast is:

- Tamon played by Conner Allison (Aristide in Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!)
- Ouri played by Brandon Acosta (Yusuke in You and I Are Polar Opposites)
- Keito voiced by Cody Savoie (Aoi in The Demon Prince of Momochi House)
- Natsuki voiced by Kevin D. Thelwell (Ishikawa in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai)
- Rintaro played by Alex Hom (Clayston in A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai)
- Fujita voiced by Aaron Campbell (Mukouda in Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill)
- Homare played by Rebecca Marano (Shion in Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None)
- Riko voiced by Taylor Murphy
- Shiraishi being voiced by Marwa Elda
- Toda voiced by Casey Casper
- Yamato being played by Emily Neves
- Yuina voiced by Kayla Temshiv
The Tamon’s B-Side English dub is being directed by Helena Walstrom (ADR Director for In the Clear Moonlit Dusk).
Check out the trailer (sorry, Crunchyroll hasn’t released one for the English dub), and you will see the anime features a gorgeous art style, excellent animation, a well-written script, fun, upbeat original songs for the F/ACE boys to sing, and many over-the-top but laugh-out-loud situations.
If you are an English dub fan, with this cast and that animation and plot then, I think you are in for a treat.
Look for the first episodes of the Tamon’s B-Side English dub premiering on Crunchyroll tomorrow.
