100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 185 recap – Xu Yang is hunted in a Demon Bounty Event

100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Ep 185 – “More Guilty” – Longxiao Sect is hunting Xu Yang
Earlier in the week, we left Xu Yang in Episode 184 being spoken about by the leaders of the Longxiao Sect as needing to be captured.
Of course, we all know that will never happen, so it’s kind of fun to begin an episode anticipating a few more Xu Yang carried-out murders before the day is done.
Remember too, he had also resurrected the thousands-of-years-old Tianlan Sect disciple Xueliu, who is now following him on his journey to get to the bottom of why Tianlan Sect was destroyed.
Full 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 185 recap
Episode 185 kicks off with a Shenwei Sect spy in Dongmao City trying to find information about Xu Yang by hanging around near his “auction house headquarters”.
That doesn’t go well for the man because, as he is listening to a group of men gossiping about Xu Yang, a boy appears behind him and starts to talk to the men about Xu Yang in a loud voice.
The problem is everything the boy says is a lie, including that Xu Yang is his subordinate (yeah, right), and that he is currently on an errand for Manying from the Xuantian Organization.
Minutes later the spy runs off with his new-found “information” leaving the boy desperately hoping Xu Yang forgives him if he ever finds out what he said.
After all, it was Manying’s idea to divert any spies away from Xu Yang by making sure they gather false information.
Spies in the Anhun Immortal Region
Next, we move to the Sacrificial Altar in the Anhun Immortal Region where another spy, this time from the Zhantian Sect, is listening into a conversation between two men.
One man tells the other he has a painting of Xu Yang that may surprise him and, when he unrolls it, the illustration is of a beautiful woman.
The spy runs off having “discovered”, if they want to capture Xu Yang, they had better be looking for a woman. And now, he believes, he will be promoted once he delivers this interesting news.
Back at the Three Sect Meeting House where we left the sect leaders in Episode 184, the three leaders are looking at drawings that are supposed to be illustrations of Xu Yang.
One of them picks up a drawing of the real Xu Yang, then comments it can’t be him, and burns the illustration to ashes.
They then look at other drawings, wondering if any of these people are the person they are hunting, but one of them finally decides he has the answer.
Xu Yang isn’t a person but an entire organization.
This, of course, makes perfect sense to the other two leaders as only an organization could kill so many people so quickly.
But, they must continue their mission in secret by pretending they still think Xu Yang is just one person. So they announce a bounty to be paid for the head of Xu Yang.
An intruder at Tianlan Immortal Region Palace
We now move back to Tianlan Sect where the members are worried about Xu Yang as, due to Uncle Master forgetting to add the navigation equipment to his space ship, their leader may now be lost somewhere in the universe.
It is then they hear a loud bang and see a bolt of lightning, and all rush outside to see a slightly-burnt man has just fallen out of the sky after breaking through their security formation.
When he gets to his feet, the man tells the Tianlan Sect members he is there to invite them to the Demon Bounty Event.
This is an event many disciples will be joining in order to find and capture the Demon King Xu Yang.
Yep, he actually said that, as he has no idea Xu Yang is Tianlan Sect’s leader.
Of course, the sect members are beyond surprised to hear not only that Xu Yang has a bounty on his head, but are even more shocked when the man goes on to describe Xu Yang — a description that does not sound like their leader at all.
When he then tells them, if they join the Demon Bounty Event and capture Xu Yang, they will get a portion of the resources and treasures Xu Yang owns, they all agree to go with him.
The man walks away telling himself, as soon as they have helped catch Xu Yang, he will make sure they die, while the Tianlan Sect members are also thinking about when they can kill him.
Xu Yang and Xueliu are still in the Kongji Universe
We end 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 185 with Xu Yang and Xueliu on the space ship, but this time in the Kongji Universe.
As they fly along, Xueliu tells Xu Yang she can sense the aura of a Tianlan disciple so they head to the Sky Universe to find them.
It is there that a man passes by (yes, apparently, in this world people can fly around the universe without any kind of spaceship!), stops next to Xu Yang’s space ship, and looks at a drawing in his hand to see if Xueliu may be the “Xu Yang” he is trying to find.
Another man then appears also with a drawing in his hand, which irritates Xu Yang so he drags him into the ship.
The man is furious, saying he is a disciple of the Three Sects and shouldn’t be being blocked from doing his job. But Xueliu stops him talking by taking the drawing he is holding, which causes the man to tell her about “the demon” they are hunting.
After the man has rushed off, the final scene has Xu Yang saying not to bother chasing him as “someone” will be going to the Demon Bounty Event to find out what’s going on.
And we all know who that someone will be, don’t we?
