One hundred thousand years ago, the Tianlan Sect dominated the cultivation world, with its disciples all being prodigies, invincible wherever they went. However, the founding disciple, Xu Yang, remained stuck at the Qi Refining stage.

In order to break through his cultivation and ascend as soon as possible, Xu Yang went into seclusion for ten thousand years. Little did he know that when he emerged, the cultivation world had declined, and the Tianlan Sect was left with only a handful of disciples, on the verge of extinction.
