A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality hits 3.1 billion views – new visual released

Chinese animation studio Wonder Cat Animation has just announced that their donghua (Chinese anime) ‘A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality‘ has been viewed more than 3.1 billion times since the premiere of its first season in 2020.
An astounding feat, and one which the studio is rightfully proud.
Especially as the last more than 200 million views were earned in only the last four months.
Along with the announcement, Wonder Cat also released a celebratory visual of Han Li (below) and a lovely poetic message that includes how grateful they are that the martial arts donghua has garnered so many fans since it premiered:
The animation of ‘A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality’ (aka Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan or 凡人修仙传) has exceeded 3.1 billion views!
Time stretches long, and our bond grows stronger; chasing dreams with the wind, our spirits merge even more.
The path of immortality is vast and elusive, but we are fortunate to have fellow cultivators by our side. In the future, let us continue to explore the boundless world together～
A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality donghua timeline
The first season of the donghua premiered on July 25th, 2020 and ran through November 29th of the same year, with a total of 17 episodes released.
Four special episodes under the title Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan: Yan Jia Bao Dazhan then hit screens on January 31st, 2021 and ran until February 14th..
They were followed by Season 2 of ‘A Record of a Mortal’s Journey…’, which ran from November 14th, 2021 to October 15th, 2022 — with 51 episodes releasing.
Another 4 special episodes — Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan: Xinghai Feichi Pian Xuzhang — were released between July 30th, 2023 and August 20th, 2023.
Season 3’s eventual 48 episodes then aired from November 25th, 2023 to October 19th, 2024.
And finally, Season 4 of A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality’ premiered last month, with 52 episodes planned for release.
In other words, by the time Season 4 ends it run towards the end of this year, 176 episodes of the donghua will be available to watch.
