The Apothecary Diaries hydrangea seasonal visual has Maomao salivating over a snail as Jinshi looks on

The newest The Apothecary Diaries ‘seasonal visual’ has dropped today, this time for June, and with the latest illustration featuring Jinshi and Maomao admiring the hydrangeas.
Although, from the look on Maomao’s face as she discovers a snail perched on one of the plant’s leaves, she has probably already figured out some poison she can make with it.
Meanwhile, Jinshi watches her curiously.
The Jinshi and Maomao with the Hydrangea visual follows on from last month’s visual featuring Xiaolan, Maomao and Shisui eating dango.
It is one of a year-long ‘seasonal visuals’ project, with The Apothecary Diaries releasing a new visual on the 22nd of each month for most of the last year — the 22nd of February being National Cat Day in Japan (Maomao — get it!).
Delay of The Apothecary Diaries 2, Episode 23
Meanwhile, you may have noticed today’s expected episode of The Apothecary Diaries, Season 2 has not arrived.
That is because the anime’s penultimate episode has been postponed from this week until next — Sunday, June 27th — with the final episode of Season 2 of The Apothecary Diaries, Episode 24, now scheduled to air on July 4th.
The delay was announced on the anime’s X account several weeks ago.

Yeah, sadly, you will just have to suffer through another week of waiting for last week’s cliffhanger to resolve.
However, with the ongoing popularity of the anime through Season 2, you can probably placate yourself with the idea we will very likely be getting an announcement about a third season as soon as this one ends.
