The upcoming adventure fantasy anime Goodbye, Dragon Life got a premiere date yesterday, along with a second trailer the first Goodbye, Dragon Life key visual and a couple of new cast members and their very cute characters.
The latest reveal for the SynergySP and Vega Entertainment-produced anime series came via its official website.
The new trailer introduces the villagers and the small village where protagonist Dolan, the former dragon, now lives, shows what he does on a daily basis, and points out why the people around him love him so much. (watch below)
As for the two new Goodbye, Dragon Life characters, who also appear in the trailer, their character designs were also released.

What is the Goodbye, Dragon Life anime about?
The new fantasy anime is based on the light novel series written by Hiroaki Nagashima and illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru.

The plot looks like this:
It follows the life of Dolan, a man who was once one of the world’s most powerful dragons until he was defeated by a human hero.
Resigned to his death, he is surprised to suddenly wake up as Dolan, a man who is living an ideal life in a small village in the north.
But things soon change for Dolan when he meets Celina, a lamia — part human and part snake — who is living in a swamp because humans generally don’t like her.
Now it’s up to Dolan, as he and Celina become closer, to persuade the people around him there is nothing to fear from his new friend. And potential mate?
The Goodbye, Dragon Life anime will premiere in October, 2024.
