Everything is Fine with the Emperor, Episode 3 screenshots feature Liu Ling and Yao Ji
Chinese animation studio Wonder Cat Animation has released screenshots from the upcoming third episode of the new Bilibili-produced fantasy romance donghua Everything is Fine with the Emperor (aka Junzi Wu Ji).
A donghua, I must say, I am thoroughly enjoying so far as its character designs are nicely done, the political-themed plot is a bit different, and its characters are solidly written and are already getting some development.
All things that we are, thankfully, seeing more and more in Chinese donghua recently.
As you might expect, the latest Everything is Fine with the Emperor, Episode 3 screenshots, which came out via the studio’s Weibo account yesterday, heavily feature the two protagonists — third prince Liu Ling and goddess Yao Ji.
Then again, they are the ones trying to figure out what is going on in this world, and who is really behind all the nefarious things going on behind the scenes in the palace.
The studio also commented about the screenshots and the donghua’s latest episode:
“The Heavenly Maiden” Yao Ji offers to cure the wet nurse’s chronic illness in exchange for Liu Ling’s help in preparing for the entrance exam to enter the Eastern Palace and search for the divine stone.
To gain admission to the Eastern Palace for studies, Liu Ling must rigorously prepare for the Imperial Academy’s entrance selection. The former imperial concubines who once aided him are the very mentors Liu Ling can turn to for guidance.
Faced with these noble-born and highly discerning concubines, only an extraordinary approach can lead to victory. How will Liu Ling wield his wisdom this time? [Pondering]
We will have to wait until Episode 3 of Everything is Fine with the Emperor premieres next week to find out.
Everything is Fine with the Emperor streaming details
The historical fantasy donghua premiered on February 12th, with a currently unknown number of episodes scheduled to air.
Adapted from the novel We are Fine by Qidaojun, Everything is Fine with the Emperor is animated by Wonder Cat Animation Studios (A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality), and airs exclusively on Bilibili every Wednesday at 11:00 in China.
Outside China, the donghua is streaming via the Made by Bilibili YouTube channel, with subscribers getting access to new episodes first, followed by non-subscribers several days later.
Everything is Fine with the Emperor, Episode 3 is scheduled to release for subscribers to the YouTube channel tomorrow, with non-subscribers getting access to it on February 25th.
