Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian’s Masachika Kuze character video shows off hilarious anime

I don’t know about you, but it seems ages since the Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian anime adaptation was released (well, it was over a year ago).
Although we did get a ton of new information about the anime back in November.
But, with its premiere date announced earlier today, we’re finally getting much closer to being able to enjoy what looks like a superb comedy romance anime.
That premiere date, by the way, is July 3rd at 30 minutes to midnight, with a western release expected soon after.
Along with the Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian premiere date, we also got a new video — this time a Masachika Kuze character video. (voiced by Kohei Amasaki)
Masachika, of course, is the anime’s male protagonist, and half-Russian half-Japanese student Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou’s love interest.
Although, of course, she would never tell him that. Except in Russian, which she thinks he doesn’t understand. (Whoops!)
With Masachika’s character video now out (watch below — it’s hilarious), we can probably expect Alisa’s will be the next one, as production studio Doga Koba has just promised a new character video will be released weekly through to the anime’s premiere.
The Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian light novels
The upcoming anime is based on the light novels by Sunsunsun and Momoco, which are being published in English by Yen Press.
They have four volumes currently out, and with Volume 5 due in August. They also publish a collection of short stories based on the light novels.
Ryouta Itou (My Senpai is Annoying) is directing and also in charge of series composition, while Yuuhei Murota (Love Live! Superstar!!) is both designing the characters and chief animation director.
Studio Doga Koba (Oshi No Ko) is in charge of anime production.
There’s no word yet on which streaming platform Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian will release on, but it’s likely to be Crunchyroll.
