Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! Episode 4 key visual drops – introduces new very cute characters

Ongoing comedy romance sci-fi anime Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! drops another adorably cute key visual. This time to promote Episode 4, which releases today.
The visual came out on the official Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! X account, with a heads up that the episode will be introducing several new characters.
It features Alma and “parents” Suzume and Enji front and center, with Makina, Neon, Hana, Toki, and Tokoyo floating around in the background.
Alma, of course, is an “Autonomous Learning Military Android” who is created by two geeky scientists, with zero people skills and who avoid anything to do with romance, and who is now desperate to be part of a family.
Even if it means forcing the said geeks into complying.
The anime premiered on October 6th, with its fourth episode releasing earlier today.

The anime is based on the comedy manga written and illustrated by Nanateru.
It is directed by Yasuhiro Minami who, after several decades in the animation industry, is helming his first full series. Good for him, eh!
Yukie Sugawara (Tougen Anki) is in charge of both series composition and scripts, and with Mika Yamamoto (sub-character designer for Fire Force) designing the characters.
Studio Flad (Banished From The Hero’s Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside) is animating.
Now personally, as much as I usually love anime featuring non-human characters, and love weird comedies, I didn’t find the first episode to be particularly interesting, funny or cute, while I did think Suzume and Enji were two of the most annoying characters in anime this year.
I didn’t get further than that.
But if you enjoy stories about inanimate characters in a quirky world, and with admittedly nice character design, you may enjoy it.
Episode 4 of Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! is streaming on Crunchyroll now, where you’ll be able to familiarize yourself with the characters featured in today’s key visual.
It is earning an average of 4.6 out of 5 from over 2,100 viewers over there, so apparently many people are enjoying it.
