It is almost time for the final episode of the fantasy comedy donghua A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized, Season 2 and, man, I will miss this one.
After all, who wouldn’t fall in love with the most cowardly dragon ever to walk the face of the earth, but one whose heart is in the right place, and one who truly cares about his tiny companion — the strangest, strongest and craziest little girl.
In anticipation of the donghua’s season finale, A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized, Season 2, Episode 12 trailer has been released on the Made by Bilibili – Chinese Donghua Animation YouTube channel.
That trailer (watch below) reminds us how powerful Lingzi is as she persuades her “Master” to go up against the “Evil Dragon”, but also that Ravendia, our beloved dragon, might be a coward but he still always does the right thing.
Throw in that annoying princess who needs a smackdown more than anyone else in donghua right now, and the trailer also proves even her loving sister, the Queen, will eventually show up and kick some ass when needs finally be.

Like its first season, A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized (aka Shi Cao Lao Long Bei Guan Yi E Long Zhi Ming) is animated by LAN Studio (Link Click), and produced by Bilibili in collaboration with Japanese producer and distributor Starry Cube Co., Ltd.
Bilibili describes the Chinese donghua’s plot like this:
The vegan dragon, who wanted nothing more than to live a peaceful life away from the world’s strife, encounters the melodramatic girl named Reiko (aka Lingzi).
Unable to dissuade her from her determined path towards death, no matter how gently he tries to persuade her, the desperate dragon has no choice but to fabricate a lie to keep Lingzi alive.
Under the lies woven by “the Evil Dragon”, Lingzi embarks on a journey to conquer the Demon King’s army, alongside the strongest “Evil Dragon” she alone believes in.
The donghua’s 12-episode second season premiered on October 2th, 2024,
