Scum of the Brave’s Yukine Indo character video drops – she wields 2 knives and she’s adorably cute

Yukine Indo’s character video intros a dual knife-wielded Hero with a husky voice
Upcoming super power-themed sci-fi anime Scum of the Brave (aka Yuusha no Kuzu) has a January, 2026 premiere date, which means we’ll likely be getting loads of fun promo pieces in the next couple of months.
Today, the official Scum of the Brave‘s X account posted a character video for Yukine Indo, second-year student at the Hero Training Academy.
The account also commented about the husky-voiced fighter:
Her combat ability is top of her grade, but she’s bad at classroom studies. She eats a lot and sleeps a lot.
and announced she is being voiced by Momo Harumi (Akari in Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right)
And, yep, the dual knife-wielding Hero is adorably cute.
Yukine Indo’s character design was also released, showing the high-school fighter wearing a school uniform over a long-sleeved body suit.
Now, that’s a great way to have complete freedom of movement when you need to take down a villain fast, right?
Scum of the Brave production details
The Scum of the Brave anime was first announced back in March this year.
The sci-fi crime-fighting series is based on the manga series written by Rocket Shoukai and illustrated by Nakashima723.
It is being directed by Shinji Ushiro, director of Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack, with Youichi Kato (Duel Masters) in charge of scripts and series composition, and Rikou Murakami (Zoids Wild) designing the characters.
The soundtrack is being composed by Kenichiro Suehiro, who has composed the OSTs for anime like Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Golden Kamuy, Goblin Slayer, Fire Force and Undead Unluck among others.
Studio OLM (animators of both seasons of The Apothecary Diaries) is in charge of anime production.
The Japanese manga series describes the plot like this:
“Being a hero is a job for the lowest scum.” In modern-day Tokyo, a mafia leader has become a “Demon Lord.”
Freelance hero Yashiro, the “Grim Reaper,” is asked by a high school girl he helps while passing through to defeat one of the Demon Lords infesting Shibuya. But the client, Aki Jogamine, is a quirky character who calls herself Yashiro’s “disciple” –!?
The start of this full-scale sword-fighting battle action story, in which an unlikely master and disciple defeat evil! For those seeking a true hero — this is the story of a true hero.
Look out for more promo pieces dropping for Scum of the Brave as we head closer to its January, 2026 premiere.
