Alya is the star of both the beach and the summer uniform, right?
Rom-com anime Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Season 2 is scheduled for a 2026 premiere date, which is why cute promo pieces are starting to drop more rapidly recently.
The latest two visuals came out via the anime’s X account today in the form of new character designs for Alya, Masachika and friends, and a teaser visual of Alya at the beach.
The new Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Season 2 character designs show the Seirei Academy students looking cool and cute in their summer uniforms.

Alya’s teaser visual, on the other hand, has the high school student at the beach obviously very hot, as she is literally sat in the water at the edge of the waves.
Of course, just about the only things you can concentrate on are her very long legs. Maybe that’s her goal, eh? Well, at least if you happen to be Masachika.

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings, Season 2 production details
The funny romance anime is being helmed by a different director for its second season.
This time, it is Hiroshi Haraguchi, episode director of Selection Project, taking over direction from Season 1’s Ryota Ito, with Yuka Yamada (screenwriter for Nina the Starry Bride) taking over scripts and series composition, while Yuhei Murota is back as character designer.
Like Season 1, Doga Kobo is animating the series.
With new staff, hopefully, the direction and script may be better than Season 1 as, while it was cute enough and there were laughs, overall Yuki being a much stronger, much funnier character, made the anime fall a lot flatter than I think more than a few anime fans expected.
Throw in that the student council drama took way too much time out of the first season’s plot and, fingers crossed, we will get a tighter-written Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings, Season 2, with a funnier Alya who actually makes some emotional progress. Right?
We’ll keep you posted on Baozi Buns as soon as we get a solid premiere date.
