Cute F/ACE key visual ramps up excitement for Tamon’s B-Side January premiere
With its highly anticipated premiere set for January 2026, the idol-themed Tamon’s B-Side anime has fans buzzing after unveiling a sparkling new key visual as, if you love cute anime boys, you will adore this.
A key visual that features idol vocal group F/ACE lighting up the stage as their main fan, Utage Kinoshita, cheers them on from the center.
Adding to the excitement, it has also been confirmed that F/ACE, which is composed of Kakeru Hatano, Shoya Chiba, Tasuku Hatanaka, Kohei Amasaki, and Ryuho Nagaoka, will not only appear in the show but also perform its opening and ending theme songs.
Thus, giving viewers, and fans of the manga the anime is based on, a full dose of their star power.
The main cast of Tamon’s B-Side
The series features a stellar lineup of voice talent including Saori Hayami (Yor in Spy x Family) as protagonist and idol fan Utage Kinoshita, and Kakeru Hatano (Akihito in Wind Breaker) as Utage’s main crush, Tamon Fukuhara.
Shouya Chiba (Kou in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun) voices Ouri Sakaguchi, Tasuku Hatanaka (Reki in SK8 the Infinity) portrays Keito Tachibana, Kouhei Amasaki (Will in Wistoria: Wand and Sword) plays Natsuki Ishibashi, and Ryuuho Nagaoka (Masami in Let’s Go Karaoke!) lends his voice to Rintaro Kai.

Behind the scenes, Tamon’s B-Side is helmed by Chika Nagaoka (Detective Conan Movie 27: The Million-Dollar Pentagram).

The script and series composition are being handled by Chiaki Nagai (22/7), while Youko Itou (character designer for the Amanchu! series) serves as both character designer and chief animation director, promising a vibrant and stylish production that fans won’t want to miss.
Animation is by J.C.STAFF (animators of The Do-Over Damsel Conquers The Dragon Emperor).

The plot of Tamon’s B-Side
The upcoming comedy romance series is based on the hit manga Tamon-kun Ima Docchi!?, which is written and illustrated by Yuki Shiwasu, mangaka of Takane & Hana.
The first volume of its Japanese release explains its story like this:
Utage Kinoshita is a high school student who supports Tamon Fukuhara from the super popular idol group F/ACE. But, one day, while working part-time at a house-cleaning company, she ends up at Tamon’s house!
What’s more, she soon finds out Tamon’s true nature is the complete opposite of his sexy and wild idol appearance: he’s a gloomy and withdrawn person…?
“Tamon-kun is a god!!” “Please repeat that.”
But whatever his appearance, Tamon is Tamon. So Utage decides to give her all in supporting this boy, who has low self-esteem!
However, she also finds herself falling for the gloomy Tamon…?
Tamon’s B-Side has also just had its premiere date announced with a funny new trailer dropping as well.
