Just when you thought Jinshi attendant Gaoshun wasn’t the coolest of guys as he takes care of Jinshi with a bit of an iron fist, he proves you wrong.
After all, when it comes to today’s release of a new The Apothecary Diaries Halloween visual, you don’t get much cooler than Gaoshun dressed as Leizhenzi, one of the Chinese thunder gods, complete with black wings, the face of a majestic golden-eyed bird and holding his weapon — a heavy golden rod.
All of this just so Gaoshun can attend a Halloween Party with his friends!

Along with the new The Apothecary Diaries Halloween visual, we also got a special video short (watch below) featuring Gaoshun’s superb voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi (the fabulous Takano in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi) warning “There’s a lot of noise in the sky. Please be careful of the thunder“. 🙂
See, Gaoshun doesn’t only make sure Jinshi doesn’t come to any harm, he cares about you too!
The latest Halloween visual from The Apothecary Diaries via the anime’s official website follows on from the one released for Lady Gyokuyou on Wednesday.
We should also be getting visuals for Jinshi and Maomao soon!
The Apothecary Diaries, Season 2 on its way
The Apothecary Diaries, Season 1 aired from October, 2023 to March, 2024, with the hit anime’s second season already greenlit, and with a premiere expected some time in 2025.
With the caliber of the plot, the voice acting, the animation, the music and that gorgeous art style, seen again with this latest visual, I personally cannot wait.
