The upcoming action fantasy sci-fi anime Demon Lord 2099 has three new characters and three new cast members as of this week.
The three new characters — Grams, Marcus and Kinohara — were announced on the anime’s official X account earlier today, along with their official character illustrations. (see graphic below)
Their voice actors also commented about their involvement in the anime, which you can read via the anime’s official website.
Those voice actors are Daisuke Namikawa (Narciso in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) who is playing Graham, Masaya Matsukaze (Colt in Attack on Titan) who voices Marcus, and Shizuka Itou (Cefiro in The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army…) who is Kinohara.
The new anime series is based on the light novel series written by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kureta.
There are currently three volumes of the novels available in Japanese, with the English versions being published by Yen Press who will have Volume 3 out in October.
It has also been published in two different manga adaptations.

The anime adaptation of the light novels is being directed by Ryou Andou (Interviews with Monster Girls), with Yuuichirou Momose (The Witch and the Beast) in charge of series composition, and Ryousuke Tanigawa (The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest) creating the character designs.
J.C. Staff (Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers) is in charge of anime production.

The cyberpunk isekai anime is due to premiere in Autumn, 2024.
