Wistoria: Wand and Sword 2 trailer has Will fighting incredibly powerful beings, as new key visual is an emotional one
Anime’s official X account also reminded premiere is in April, 2026
Magic school-themed action anime Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2 has a new trailer out alongside its latest key visual featuring protagonist Will Serfort.
That quite emotional key visual was released on the anime’s X page with the comment — “Always by your side――” — and, having watched the first season, we all know who Will is thinking of, don’t we?
The account also reminded fans of the hit anime they can expect to see the first episode of Season 2 some time in April, 2026.

The teaser trailer that arrived with the powerful new visual begins with Will reminding himself “Don’t tremble. The more scared you are, the more likely it is that someone will die.”
That’s right before something truly terrible happens as the New Year is suddenly ushered in, and suddenly not only the Regarden Magic Academy he attends, but also the world outside, is being attacked by some incredibly powerful, and quite evil, beings.
As Will gives it his all in annihilating any of these beings that come his way, he also wonders “Why is this world so cruel?”

From just the few scenes in the Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2 trailer, you will see it appears the anime’s second season will feature the same spectacularly smooth animation as its first (especially in the fight scenes), as it is animated again by studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, who also created the same gorgeous art style.
What we know about Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2?
While we don’t have a specific release date in April, 2026 just yet, we do know the action adventure anime is again being directed by Season 1 director Tatsuya Yoshihara, except, this time, he is the chief director while episode director Hideaki Nakano (director of Devils Line) takes over the main direction for the series.
With no word on who is in charge of series composition yet, we do know Sayaka Ono (Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon) is both character designer and chief animation director.
And, like Season 1, it is probably a pretty safe bet that Crunchyroll will also be streaming its second season.
