The upcoming Touken Ranbu Kai film — Touken Ranbu Kai –Douden Chikashi Samuraira Umonora — has released a Heshikiri Hasebe character video in advance of the film’s release on August 16th.
The new Heshikiri Hasebe character video is one of a series that will be released this week, with six in total.
It shows Oda Nobunaga’s former sword, and now Hanamaru Saniwa’s attendant, in his human form showing off his superior fighting skills.
The video also proves Heshikiri Hasebe isn’t nervous about standing up to other swords, as we see him berating Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, and asking how long he is going to be absent from his duties.
Heshikiri Hasebe is being voiced by Tarusuke Shingaki (Yashiro in Twittering Birds Never Fly).
The Touken Ranbu Kai –Douden Chikashi Samuraira Umonora film is the sequel to the Touken Ranbu Kai Kyoden anime series, which aired earlier this year.
The film is being directed by Kazuya Ichikawa (Touken Ranbu Kai Kyoden), with Kenichi Suemitsu (Delico’s Nursery) in charge of scripts, and Mari Takada (Touken Ranbu Kai Kyoden) in charge of character designs.
DMM Games and Nitro Plus are animating the film.
There is no word yet on when the Touken Ranbu Kai –Douden Chikashi Samuraira Umonora film will release in the west.
