The Demon Hunter 2, EP22 trailer – Ji Yuantong reunites with his sister Yuanbao who is now a primordial spirit

Yuanbao teaches Ji Yuantong a lesson about life
The trailer is out for The Demon Hunter, Season 2, Episode 22 in which we see Ji Yuantong reunited with his young sister, Ji Yuanbao, who is now dead and only exists as a primordial spirit.
At first, Yuantong believes Meng Chuan must be playing a trick on him, as he knows his sister has already died.
But, after Ji Yuanbao tells him the same thing she told him when she was still alive and wanted to open a shop together, “I’m Ji Yuanbao, like the big gold ingot. And my brother, he’s like the little copper coin”, Yuantong realizes she really is the spirit of his sister.
She then talks to him about life, and how he should be living it.

The rest of The Demon Hunter, Season 2, Episode 2 trailer has Yuantong remembering how sick Yuanbao used to be, and then him sitting down with Meng Chuan and Meng Chuan’s primordial spirit Zhuang Sheng to learn.
Because, sadly, although they have now been reunited, Yuanbao spent so much of her primordial spirit protecting him while he was fighting and being attacked, she only has a few hours of life left.

The episode itself is now streaming via YOUKU for that platform’s subscribers, and will hit YOUKU’s YouTube channel next week for non-subscribers.
The donghua is superbly animated by Shenman Entertainment and Tianshi Wenhua, and produced by YOUKU.
YOUKU also streams the series internationally.
And yes, The Demon Hunter 2 is not only a standout animated series among Chinese donghua, but is a stand out among animated series overall.
After all, it is rare we get a stellar plot, beautiful character designs of actually cool characters, fluid animation, a killer soundtrack and with every episode ramping up the excitement even more.
And all in one series, and with both seasons being superb.
