Celebratory visual drawn by light novel illustrator Kanco
In another of those, Ye Gods, I hope they don’t release an anime with a title this long moment, we have just had an announcement that the fantasy Isekai reincarnation light novel Majutsu wo Kiwamete Tabi ni Deta Tensei Elf, Moteamashita Jumyo de Ikeru Densetsu to Naru is getting an anime adaptation.
And, yep, I challenge you to learn how to pronounce that title and then remember it a week from now.
The light novel’s English language title, which is much more memorable for non-Japanese speakers, is The Reincarnated Elf Left on a Journey to Master His Magic and With His Extra Lifespan Became a Living Legend.
Grast Comics, publisher of its manga adaptation, announced the anime via its official X account today.

The light novel and manga illustrator Kanco also released a cute celebratory visual of the novel’s protagonist Minoru Kido as his reincarnated elf self, Liese Klein, along with Minori, the human girl he meets on his travels.
Both of whom look incredibly excited at the good news.
Kanco reminded fans of the books that Volume 5 of the manga adaptation will be releasing in Japan on November 28th.
The light novel’s sole volume came out in Japan in late December, 2022, with no English translation yet available.

What’s the Majutsu wo Kiwamete Tabi ni Deta Tensei Elf novel series about?
The novel, which is written by Monsho Sakakibara, started out as a web novel as many do, and was then snapped up by Kodansha.
It only has one volume out, but has since spawned a manga adaptation with five volumes.
The Majutsu wo Kiwamete Tabi ni Deta Tensei Elf plot tells a typical isekai story, described in the first volume of the manga like this:
A reincarnated elf who has mastered magic sets out on an eternal journey. Involved in countless irreplaceable moments in the outside world, he will soon become a living legend!?
After an accident that ended his ordinary life, the 30-year-old Japanese man Minoru Kido is reincarnated as Liese Klein, an elf with a 1,000-year lifespan. Regretting not being able to accomplish anything in his previous life, he resolves to “live seriously this time and leave proof of his existence in this world.”
However, his parents and the tribe leader oppose his plan, citing the dangers outside the elven village, and he is subjected to severe trials. Still, he refuses to give up, and continues to perfect his magic for 100 years…before he realizes it, he has reached a level of skill that no human or elf could reach, even if they dedicated their entire lives to it!
Now at his strongest, Reese sets out on a journey, experiencing fleeting encounters and partings throughout the ages, and inheriting many feelings! The story of a reincarnated elf who will soon become a legend, begins with a fantasy journey to another world!
No information has been released so far about the specific studio animating the anime, director, screenwriter, or any of its other staff or voice cast.
We’ll get back to you as more information comes out. But, hey, as an absolute Isekai fanatic, I’m psyched, aren’t you?
