JUJUTSU KAISEN: The Movie – Shibuya Incident Special Edition x Culling Game premiere info
While the upcoming full-length animated film drops in Japan tomorrow, along with an IMAX release, it won’t hit some international movie theaters until later in November, with the United States getting the film on December 5th nationwide under the title JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution. (watch trailer down below).
GKIDS has licensed JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution, which comprises a compilation form of the Shibuya Incident from JUJUTSU KAISEN, Season 2, plus the first two episodes of Season 3’s arc Culling Game Part 1.
If you’re not into compilation films (I’m not), you can rewatch Season 2 for the Shibuya Incident in all its many many episodes glory, and then wait until January, 2026 when Season 3 drops its first episodes to get a look at the Culling Game.

Although, of course, if you want to see your favorite JUJUTSU KAISEN, Season 2 scenes on the big screen, this is an opportunity to see just that. And it should be pretty spectacular.
If you don’t care about watching the JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution compilation film on a smaller screen, it will likely hit streaming services soon after that.
GKIDS describes the plot of the JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution film, which fans of Season 2 will already be familiar with, like this:
A veil abruptly descends over the busy Shibuya area amid the bustling Halloween crowds, trapping countless civilians inside. Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, steps into the chaos. But lying in wait are curse users and spirits scheming to seal him away.
Yuji Itadori, accompanied by his classmates and other top-tier jujutsu sorcerers, enters the fray in an unprecedented clash of curses — the Shibuya Incident.
In the aftermath, ten colonies across Japan are transformed into dens of curses in a plan orchestrated by Noritoshi Kamo, the most wicked sorcerer in history. As the deadly Culling Game starts, Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu is assigned to carry out Yuji’s execution for his perceived crimes.
Head to theaters in Japan tomorrow, November 7th, or look out for the film heading our way in America on December 5th.
