Kill Blue casts Shunsuke Takeuchi as Juzo Ogami (the adult version) – character design and anime still drop

Juzo Ogami’s voice actor named
Japanese voice actor Shunsuke Takeuchi has been named as the dude playing the adult version of now-teenage hit man Juzo Ogami in the upcoming action comedy Kill Blue (aka Kill Ao).
The announcement came via the official Kill Blue website today, with the character design for Juzo Ogami also dropping.
The official X account for the anime also released another comment from the voice actor, who said:
❝ I’ve often been told that despite my appearance, I have an old-man vibe, so this is a character I feel a sense of affinity for.❞
If he were sitting in the desk next to mine in the classroom, he might be that strangely reliable “Jūsan-kun”…?

I promise you, you will know the wonderful Shunsuke Takeuchi from his many anime roles.
They include Alioth in the ongoing A Wild Last Boss Appeared!, Toto in The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses, Dennis in Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!, Aoi Kaguragi in Kaiju No. 8, Dolan in Good Bye, Dragon Life, Tokiwa in How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer, Einar in Vinland Saga, Teppa in Revenger, and Gilbert in I Parry Everything — to name just a tiny number of the anime characters he has become.
Yep, he’s in many of your favorite anime series, so why should Kill Blue (which looks amazing!) be any different?
Along with Juzo Ogami’s character design, we also got a still from the anime featuring the assassin, with the comment:
A scene cut has been released of Juzo pointing a gun at someone with a cool expression and a cigarette in his mouth. With his sharp gaze and gun in hand, the cut exudes the dignity of a legendary assassin.
Kill Blue production details
The anime adaptation of the Tadatoshi Fujimaki-created manga series of the same name, is being directed by Hiro Kaburagi (Great Pretender), with Miho Daidouji (Ao Ashi) designing the characters.
New animation company CUE, which was established by animation producer Kuroki Rui in collaboration with DMM.com (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-), is animating.
The Kill Blue plot is explained in the first volume of the original Japanese Kill Ao (キルアオ) manga like this:
Divorced Juzo Ogami is a legendary assassin who was picked up by an organization when he was a child.
But, in a strange incident, Juzo is stabbed by a mysterious biological weapon and turns into a junior high school student. He goes to junior high school…
A comedy about an old junior high school student who tries again, but this time as a school assassin.
Yeah, this one looks completely nuts, so count me all in.
