A new extended trailer for the upcoming action fantasy anime Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Party Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to an Infinite Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out for Revenge has been released (below), as the animated series heads towards release on October 3rd in Japan.
The new Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon trailer concentrates on protagonist Light, as he is kicked out of the Concord of the Tribes party and finds himself alone in the middle of a dangerous dungeon.
Of course, things don’t look dire for long before Light is able to use his Unlimited Gacha skill and pull a slew of very cute and extremely overpowered girls to help.

The Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon trailer also features the anime’s main female voice actors — Ikumi Hasegawa (Lydia Leinster in Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter) who plays Mei, Hana Hishikawa (Mai in Turkey!) as Nasuna, Shiori Izawa (Nanachi in Made in Abyss) as Aoyuki, Ayumi Mano (Alice in The Duke of Death and His Maid) who is voicing Ellie, Yuuko Natsuyoshi (Sasha in The Misfit of Demon King Academy) who voices Nemumu, and Katsuya Miyamoto (Shin in School Rumble) as Gold.
Nina Tamaki (Mathias in The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest), who plays Light, can also be heard.
Tei’s opening theme song ‘Sen yori Kaminari ya, Sarariya Takaki‘ is played throughout the trailer.
The OP itself will be officially released in Japan on the same day as the anime — October 3rd.

The fantasy anime is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Shisui Meikyo (story) and illustrated by Tef.
Its English-language translation is published by J-Novel Club, with 10 volumes already published, and Volume 11 dropping in October.

When Light is kicked out of the Concord of the Tribes, his former comrades instantly turn on him. Light escapes this diabolical act of betrayal by the skin of his teeth…only to find himself in the deepest part of the Abyss, the most dangerous dungeon in the realm!
To avoid being eaten by carnivorous monsters, he uses the Unlimited Gacha, his sole magical skill. But where it previously only produced junk items, this time Mei—a gorgeous Level 9999 fighter in a maid outfit—springs forth!
Fast forward three years and Light has carved out his own kingdom in this backwater dungeon, summoning more beautiful Level 9999 warriors who swear absolute fealty to him.
Now a powerful Level 9999 Overlord himself, Light plans to ascend to the surface and take revenge on his betrayers one by one!
The anime series is being directed by Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch), with Hiroshi Oonogi (Blue Archive: The Animation) in charge of scripts and series composition, and character designs from Yukie Suzuki (Tsukimichi — Moonlit Fantasy).
