Atou the Sludge’s character video shows off the Sludge Witch’s many expressions
The strangely titled isekai fantasy anime Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra has a new character video out — this time for Atou the Sludge, close companion and loyal follower of protagonist Takuto Ira (aka the god Mynoghra).
The just-released Atou the Sludge character video dropped via the anime’s X account, and doesn’t reveal much about the Eternal Nations hero unit.
But it does suggest the Sludge Witch has an extremely interesting personality.
Shy and blushing one minute, argumentative and loud the next, and even sexy when the mood demands.
And if you recognize that fabulous voice, you will know Atou is voiced by Tomori Kusunoki who also plays Makima in Chainsaw Man.
Who is Atou the Sludge?
Atou herself, aka Odei no Atou, has elf ears and tentacles that appear from her back whenever they are needed for attack.
She first met Takuto Ira when he used to play the sim game Eternal Nations, as she was one of its “hero units”.
But, when he dies and is reincarnated in-game as god Mynoghra, Atou reveals she still remembers all the time they spent together in the game world.
Thus, she becomes the closest person to Takuto, and a very important ally as he gets ready to conquer the entire world. One unit, settlement and level at a time.
The previously-released visual also features Atou the Sludge with her tentacles waving around her, as Takuto himself appears to be pondering something interesting.
Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra production details
The isekai anime series is directed by Yuuji Yanase (In the Land of Leadale), with Yuka Yamada (Nina the Starry Bride) and Kunihiko Okada (From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman) providing series composition, and Kaho Deguchi (If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord) both acting as character designer and chief animation director.
Maho Film (I’m Standing on a Million Lives) is animating the series.
