The Demon Hunter 2 Liu Qiyue PV has our feisty girl insisting she’ll compete in Yuanchu Mountain trials

The upcoming donghua The Demon Hunter, Season 2 is heading our way in December, which is why we just got a Liu Qiyue PV showcasing protagonist Meng Chuan’s childhood friend, and now-love interest.
It follows on from Ji Yuan Tong‘s and Yan Jin‘s videos, and is probably the shortest character PV I have ever watched, clocking in with Liu Qiyue actually on screen for a massive 11 seconds, and five of those are of her in a still graphic.
But, at least, unlike most Japanese anime, YOUKU did give us English subtitles, so there’s that.
In the Liu Qiyue PV, we see our favorite kickass and always feisty girl stopping Meng Chuan from heading into Yuanchu Mountain, and then in a different scene insisting, even if she is injured, she will still be competing in the Yuanchu Mountain trails.
And, if someone tries to stop her, they might as well “court death”.

Her PV then ends with the message The Demon Hunter, Season 2 will premiere on December 6th, so just over a week away now. Yay!
The Demon Hunter details
The first season of the superb fantasy, martial arts donghua premiered on YOUKU on June 22nd, 2023, and ran to December 7th of the same year.
It was brilliantly animated by Shenman Entertainment, with the same animation studio in charge of its second season as well.
Its plot goes something like this:
The Demon Hunter tells the story of Meng Chuan, a teenager whose mother was killed by an army of demons that invaded his village when he was still a child.
Because of her death, his father takes him back to the Meng Sect, where he used to be a member, and where Meng Chuan now cultivates in order to make himself so strong, he can avenge his mother’s death by “killing all monsters”.
Along the way, various things happen to Chuan that eventually mean he is one of the most powerful people in his city. While, at the same time, he makes quite a few powerful enemies.
In Season 2, Meng Chuan, his best friend Liu Qiyue and another friend Yan Jin are planning on competing in the trials for Yuanchu Mountain — the most powerful sect in the country and one that, if they are accepted, could ultimately help them become saints.
