WILD Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero visual and trailer feature over-the-top humor

The official website for the Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero anime series has just released both a terrifyingly wild looking key visual and a new trailer for the upcoming comedy fantasy.
The latest Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero key visual features protagonist and our hero Max (top) alongside Fred and Leo (left and right), all screaming at the top of their lungs while Max waves a massive sword around.

The trailer released for the new anime at the same time as the visual also shows off the anime’s over-the-top humor.
It starts with Max seemingly bored with his life while former Demon Lord Maou shows his displeasure with the lazy former hero, and Fred and Leo are at each other’s throats.
Until Max drops in with his massive sword just to sort them out.
The new video also gives us a snippet of the anime’s ending theme song — ‘Mirai=Teleport’ performed J-pop singer songwriter Nenne.
What is the Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero anime based on?
Now, before you decide this one may be too violent for your tastes, you really shouldn’t worry as the anime is actually an over-the-top comedy fantasy that, if it follows the manga it is based on closely, should be hilarious.
That manga, of course, was written and illustrated by toufu, and tells the story of our hero Max who, a decade before, defeated the Demon Lord.
Nowadays, though, Max is holed up in a filthy one-room apartment bored out of his mind. Until the Demon Lord, who has woken up from a long sleep only to find himself in the body of a chibi version of himself, arrives for a surprise visit.
It is then he sees what a disappointment Max has become, so decides to move in with him so he can help the hero get back to his former fighting fit state.
The best-selling manga currently has seven volumes out in Japanese, with an eighth one due out in July.
Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero manga series in English, with five volumes already out and a sixth one due out in January, 2024.
Meanwhile, the anime based on it is due to premiere on HIDIVE on July 3rd, 2023. It’s being animated by SILVER LINK and Studio Blade.
