The upcoming Boys Love’ anime Sasaki and Miyano just got a new preview video and, let’s just say, wow, this looks so romantic and sweet.
Up to and including hazy shots of rain, and an atmosphere full of long pauses and intense looks.
In the Sasaki and Miyano PV, we get a quick look at both main characters.
Miyano, a high school student who secretly loves BL manga, and Sasaki, a Senpai who knows nothing about BL but soon finds himself being drawn into Miyano’s world.
The scenes take place on a rainy day at school, as Miyano comes across Sasaki for the first time.
What is Sasaki and Miyano?
Sasaki and Miyano is based on the manga series by Shou Harusono, which has been serialized in the pixiv Comic manga magazine in Japan, with the English language volumes published by Yen Press.
Yen Press talks about the story like this:
It all started like a typical old-school boys’ love plotline—bad-boy senior meets adorably awkward underclassman, one of them falls in love, and so on and so forth.
But although Miyano is a self-proclaimed boys’ love expert, he hasn’t quite realized…he’s in one himself. Which means it’s up to Sasaki to make sure their story has a happily ever after…!
Sasaki and Miyano is being directed by Shinji Ishihira, with animation production by Studio DEEN.

Yuusuke Shirai (IDOLiSH7) plays Sasaki, with Souma Saitou (Moriarty the Patriot) voicing Miyano.
No word yet on when the BL anime will premiere in the west, but it is currently scheduled for release in Japan next January. When it hits international streaming, it will reportedly be available via Crunchyroll.
