With the hit Chinese anime (donghua) Link Click just ending its most recent arc — Link Click: Bridon Arc — many fans are interested in the Chinese actor who voices Cheng Xiaoshi in each series.
After all, not only does he do an utterly superb job in Link Click, if you have watched more than a couple of donghua, you will likely recognize the actor’s voice as playing several of your other favorite donghua characters as well.
Who is that actor, and what other animated series coming out of China has he voiced characters in?
Who voices Cheng Xiaoshi in the Link Click donghua?
Manager of the Time Photography Studio, basketball player, close friend of second protagonist Guang Lu, and the man who enters photographs to put things right, Cheng Xiaoshi is voiced by actor Su Shangqing (苏尚卿).
Fans who are as obsessed with donghua as I am will already know Su Shangqing is a highly talented and well-known voice actor in the Chinese dubbing industry, as he is recognized for his roles not only in popular animated series, but also in video games and C-dramas.
His portrayal of Cheng Xiaoshi has also been widely praised for bringing the character’s energetic and emotional personality beautifully to life.
The actor isn’t just wonderful at voicing Cheng Xiaoshi, however, as other animation characters, including several series’ protagonists, you have heard him embody prove.
