Anime adaptation announced on X
The long-titled Isekai romance light novel series Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim: A Yakuza Heiress Becomes the Top-Ranked Villain’s Romantic Target! is getting an anime adaptation.
The new fantasy romance anime series was announced on X yesterday, with fans of the 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy! light novels, which also got their own anime a couple of years ago, ecstatic as this one is written by the same author.
Along with the announcement, author Touko Amekawa expressed their delight in having a second series now being animated, and also released a visual featuring Francesca setting off a confetti popper in celebration, as chibi versions of Leonardo and Graziano get shot out of it.
The Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim light novels
The ongoing light novel series – titled 悪党一家の愛娘、転生先も乙女ゲームの極道令嬢でした in Japanese – is written by Touko Amekawa and illustrated by Meiji Anno.
The light novel has four volumes out so far, with a manga adaptation with art by Sora Gouto currently up to five volumes in Japan as of early next month.
While the novels do not have an official English translation yet, the manga series was picked up by Tokyopop, who published its first volume in August this year.
Volume 3 of that series, which is rated a 4.6 out of 5 on Amazon and a 3.9 out of 5 on Goodreads, is due to release in February, 2026.
The first chapter of the original Japanese light novel series describes the Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim plot:
A girl who grew up as the granddaughter of a gangster family and wanted to have friends is reincarnated into a game world for women, where the early modern mafia operates. In it, she is the beloved daughter of one of the five great families that supports the monarchy from behind the scenes!
The peace she desires is far from her, and as soon as the game begins, she is kidnapped by Leonardo, the young head of the family and the greatest enemy and mastermind behind the main scenario.
Using her natural courage, she escapes danger, but because of this, he, the “underworld figure” she wants to keep the most from being associated with, inadvertently develops a mysterious obsession with her…!? “You’re so cute, Francesca. I love you, so please don’t bore me.”
A dangerous love game between the granddaughter of a former gangster and her villainous fiancé begins!
There is no word yet on the studio who is animating, director, staff or main voice cast but, with this announcement, they should likely be coming soon.
