A 3-Episode Special for fantasy romance anime My Happy Marriage has been announced, along with a gorgeous key visual of Miyo and her fiancé Kiyoka — this time with him in his military uniform and her in a traditional Japanese wedding kimono.
Yep, it looks like the long-awaited wedding we have been hoping for since Episode 1 of the first season will soon be arriving. Well, some time in 2026, when the 3-episode My Happy Marriage special is scheduled to air.
Considering fans have been wondering what happened to the titular ‘happy marriage’ since Season 2 ended, and an announcement about “an anime” but not a Season 3 was forthcoming, this should hopefully make many people’s week a little bit brighter indeed.
All three episodes, by the way, will stream on Netflix just like the anime’s two seasons.

My Happy Marriage Special production details
Like the anime’s two seasons, Takehiro Kubota will be back to direct the My Happy Marriage Special.
Voice actors Reina Ueda (Chinatsu Kano in Blue Box) and Kaito Ishikawa (Sakuta in the Rascal Does Not Dream of… series) have also been confirmed as reprising their roles as Miyo and Kiyoka.
It is also likely the rest of the main staff will also return, as Kinema Citrus is animating again.
No word yet on the Special’s plot but, with nine volumes of the light novel series out (written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, and more to be published, it is likely to cover some of the events of Volume 7.)
Whether a Season 3 will be produced after that is yet to be determined.

The series’ plot, by the way, goes like this:
Miyo Saimori is a girl born into a family of supernatural powers, but one who did not inherit them. Because of this, she is treated like a servant by her half-sister, whose abilities have blossomed.
A girl unloved by her parents and unwanted by anyone. Her only ally, her childhood friend, is forced to marry her half-sister and inherits the family home.
Having become a nuisance, Miyo is then forced to marry Kiyoka Kudou, a powerful man, but one who is rumored to be cold and ruthless…
A Japanese-style fantasy x marriage. A love story that begins with marriage.
