First trailer for To Your Eternity Season 3 – Fushi in the modern world and, man, this looks epic!

It has been a long time since Season 2 of the supernatural adventure anime To Your Eternity ended — over two years to be precise.
And, with To Your Eternity, Season 3 still not dropping until October, it is going to be longer again.
That is why the first trailer for To Your Eternity, Season 3 dropping earlier today is a very welcome addition to my day as, Ye Gods, haven’t you been feeling like we were never going to find out what happens to Fushi next as well?
That first To Your Eternity, Season 3 trailer, which follows on from April’s mysterious key visual, came out via the anime series’ official X account this morning, along with the message:
Fushi wakes up from a long sleep, Although he finds momentary comfort in a peaceful world, he still faces new encounters, new challenges, and an inevitable battle…
Well…. we all saw that coming, eh?
The trailer itself finally has Fushi in the modern-day world, riding on a tourist boat, drinking bubble tea and laughing at being stuck in a crowd as everyone rushes towards an open subway train door.
But, of course, it’s not as though he will be able to enjoy modern day life for long, before he’s back in danger again.
The To Your Eternity trailer also reminds us the first episode of Season 3 drops in October.
And, after watching that, I can hardly wait as the entire trailer — from the art style and animation, to the music, and to Fushi’s delight at the new world – gave me goosebumps.
To Your Eternity, Season 3 production details
The third season of the massively popular anime series is being directed by Sota Yokote (assistant director of Bye Bye, Earth) is making his directorial debut, while Season 2’s director Kiyoko Sayama is chief directing.
Shinzo Fujita is also back in charge of series composition, and Koji Yabuno is again designing those wonderful characters.
Studio Drive, animators for Season 2, are back animating, this time along with STUDIO MASSKET (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash).
Season 3 continues on with the “This World” arc.
Voice actor Reiji Kawashima is returning as Fushi.
