Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You premiere date announced
The upcoming romance anime Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, Season 2 has announced a 2026 premiere date along with a very sweet key visual, and a second character design visual of all five main characters.
The key visual was released on the official Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You X account earlier today, and features childhood friends Kizuki, Shin, Airu, and Shuugo.
The account also commented about the visual:

My guess would be Mizuho, wouldn’t yours? Especially as Kizuki looks a little bit stunned. As if he’s looking at the person he can’t get out of his mind.

That first visual has the four friends still as high school students, while the new character design illustration shows how they, and Mizuho, look as adults.
And yep, the boys (now grown men) are still handsome, and Mizuho is still cuter than cute. (Although, with the first few minutes of the first episode of the anime that I did watch, I do remember we saw her as an adult early on).
Along with the visuals, it has also been confirmed that first year director Junichi Yamamoto is returning to direct Season 2.
Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You production details
The first season of Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You aired from January 10th to March 28th, 2025.
Along with director Junichi Yamamoto, other main staff included Yuu Murai (Haigakura) in charge of series composition, and Shiibaio designing the characters.
All are reportedly returning for Season 2, along with animation studio Typhoon Graphics (Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion).
Season 1 is still streaming via Crunchyroll, with Season 2 likely to hit that platform as well. We’ll keep you posted.
Season 1 is poorly-rated with a large number of drops
Meanwhile, Season 1 is one of My Drama List’s most poorly rated anime series (currently a 6.09 out of 10), with viewers complaining about the low-quality animation and art, the use of stills instead of animation in far too many scenes, the not-fully-completed background characters, and the creepy stalker-y vibe from Kizuki.
With only 9,362 people on the site reporting they completed the first season, while a massive 4,257 people dropped it (that’s heading towards 50%), it doesn’t bode well for the success of Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, Season 2, does it?
Personally, I didn’t watch much of it, as I had zero interest in an anime that referenced the Covid b.s., but what I did see (the first two episodes) was pretty damn bad.
I guess we will see how well Season 2 performs then, right?
