The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil trailer has Amane and Akutsu falling in love

There is a new The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil trailer out, and if you are already ecstatic about the thought of the upcoming romantic comedy anime, you will be even more excited after watching this.
The latest The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil trailer was released on the Kadokawa Anime YouTube channel and starts off with demon Akutsu Masatora and angel Lily Amane announcing their plan to kick the other’s butt.
Of course, in matters of romance, things often don’t turn out the way you expect or plan.
That is why before long, as Akutsu and Amane try to make each other fall in love, they begin to realize they themselves might be the one with the feelings for the other.
Yikes, eh?
Along with the cute and hilarious plot, the new The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil trailer also features a snippet of the anime’s ending theme song — ‘Gift‘ by Kaori Ishihara.
What is The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil about?
The upcoming rom-com anime, called Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru in Japan, is based on the manga series written and illustrated by the extremely prolific mangaka Sawayoshi Azuma.
That manga currently has 16 volumes out in Japanese, with the 17th volume out on December 27th.
There hasn’t been any word about an official English release yet but, with the anime looking as fun as this, I doubt it will be long.
As for The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil anime, it is being directed by Itsuro Kawasaki (The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting), who is also in charge of scripts, while Yuuko Yahiro (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) is designing the cute characters.
Children’s Playground Entertainment (Citrus) is in charge of anime production in collaboration with Gaina (Forest of Piano).
Meanwhile, The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil plot looks like this:
Akutsu Masatora is a demon who has infiltrated a high school in the human world. His goal is to find candidates to aid Hell in the fight against their natural enemies, the angels of Heaven. Assigned a seat next to Lily Amane, another student who transferred here not long ago, Akutsu falls prey to her beauty and decides to recruit her to his cause.
But there’s more to Lily than meets the eye, and Akutsu not only finds himself an accomplice to one of the very enemies he is supposed to defeat, but he also might have developed feelings for her.
Yep, that sounds adorably cute.
The first episode of The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil anime is due to premiere in Japan on January 9th, 2024 via TV Tokyo.
