Rom-com anime drops a slew of information
The ongoing coming-of-age rom-com manga Now That We Draw is getting an anime adaptation, with its TV anime announced today with a teaser trailer and a very cute key visual of the quite buxom, and always smiling Niina Miyamoto (below).
Now That We Draw also had its main staff and voice cast named.
No word yet on when the school-themed anime will premiere though.

First Now That We Draw key visual and trailer feature the adorable Niina Miyamoto
With gyaru Niina Miyamoto being more the star of this story than high-school manga artist Yuuki Uehara, its not surprising the anime’s first key visual features her.
In it we see the adorable Niina flashing a peace sign and grinning at the camera while she sits on the floor working on manga on her tablet.
Yeah, this girl is all personality, isn’t she?
You will see more of Niina Miyamoto in the anime’s first trailer, which also introduces male protagonist Yuuki Uehara, as well as get a look at that absolutely stunning art style.
Not too much of a surprise there, though, as the manga’s art is standout as well.
Lead voice actors and main staff named
The lead actors who play the anime’s two protagonists are also a fabulous choice.
They are Sayumi Suzushiro who voices Niina Miyamoto, and Ayumu Murase as Yuuki Uehara.
Sayumi Suzushiro is currently doing a wonderful job playing Iroha in My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!, and also voiced Nijika in the hit series Bocchi the Rock!
You will also be very familiar with Ayumu Murase, as he is known for many voice roles including Shouyou in Haikyu!!, Aki in Chainsaw Man, and Luck in Black Clover.
Meanwhile, the Now That We Draw main staff includes director Shunsuke Ishikawa (Blue Lock: Episode Nagi), scriptwriter Deko Akao (May I Ask for One Final Thing?), and character designer Hiromi Nakagawa (Wataten! an Angel Flew Down to Me).
Studio ROLL2 (Love Is Indivisible by Twins) is animating.
The Now That We Draw plot
As for the Now That We Draw plot, the anime series is based on the currently 16-volume manga series written by Kyu Takahata and illustrated by Yuwji Kaba.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English, with Volumes 1 thru 3 already out, and Volume 4 due in February.
Its fun plot looks like this:
Uehara-kun, who loves 2D, dreams of becoming a manga artist! However, when he takes his first step to becoming a manga artist and submits a romantic comedy manga, it is dismissed as “unrealistic in its romance,” and he is on the verge of giving up on his dream…
But when Miyamoto-san, a gal in his class, sees his manuscript, a pseudo-romance between two people who were never meant to meet begins. All for the sake of manga!
