In yet another long delay for a Japanese anime, Episode 6 of the ongoing comedy romance Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, and subsequent episodes, are being postponed — some until 2026.
That Japanese animation companies are often unable to stick to a schedule is a surprise to nobody that has watched anime for any length of time.
That it keeps happening with popular anime over and over again is, yep, disappointing.
Why is Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, Episode 6 delayed?
This time, it’s the usual excuse for Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, Episode 6 being delayed as animation studio Feel says it’s “to maintain the quality of the content”, with their full statement explaining:
Re: the broadcast of Episode 6 that originally scheduled to air on November 11th and the anime’s subsequent episodes, we have decided to postpone the broadcast and streaming due to production circumstances and to maintain the quality of the content.
We sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern this causes to our viewers who have been looking forward to the series, as well as to everyone involved.”
Yep, pretty much the same old same old, right?
And yep, this echoes 2025’s wave of delays amid animation studio staffing shortages, doesn’t it? So this may have something to do with the delay as well?
Meanwhile, Feel went on to remind viewers to check the anime’s official website for updates going forward.

When will Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, Episode 6 air?
With Episode 5 airing in Japan on November 4th, and with Episode 6 scheduled to air on November 11th before its postponement, here’s what studio Feel is saying about Episode 6’s possible release date now.
And yes, you have a month’s wait before Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, Episode 6 airs. If it airs on its rescheduled date. Fingers crossed.
Going forward, Episode 6 will now air on December 2nd, followed by Episode 7 dropping on December 9th, Episode 8 will arrive on December 16th, then Episode 9 on December 23rd, and finally Episode 10 on December 30th.
Yes, that means Episodes 11 through 13 will not air until some time in 2026 (hopefully January), with those premiere dates being announced at a later time.

Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle light novel author, Hiromu, responds to anime delay
Meanwhile, light novel author Hiromu has responded to the Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, Episode 6 delay in an X post.
A delay that must be incredibly frustrating for the author as well. Let’s admit.
Hiromu says:
As officially announced, the broadcast and streaming of episode 6 and beyond of the anime *Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle* has been postponed. Right at the moment when the Yuzuki Nanase arc is finally about to kick off, we have this break period in between, so I totally share that frustrating, antsy feeling with all you original fans and anime viewers out there.
That said, they could have just rushed things and churned out something low-quality to meet the deadline, but instead, are prioritizing quality assurance to deliver an even better anime. That proves the dedication of feel. and the entire production team, and really warms my heart as the original author.
I wholeheartedly respect that decision and want to cheer them on.
Also, while I can’t get into the nitty-gritty details just yet, rest assured that we plan to air it on TV up to a proper, satisfying conclusion.
Above all else, to everyone who’s been supporting us, let’s take a breather and enjoy some calm, everyday moments for a while, then get back to the festive excitement. As for me, I’ll be focusing on wrapping up the work I have at hand for the time being. Let’s all look forward with high hopes to seeing the continuation in the absolute best quality!
In other words, while we are all frustrated about yet another anime delay, there’s not much we can do about it so… onwards and upwards, and meanwhile you can always use the time to start watching another anime series that may be just as good.
Or, if you’re like me, and have not had time to start watching Chitose in the Ramune Bottle yet, you can do that now as this one does look fun.
Here’s its trailer just in case.
