A poster has been released via Weibo for the ongoing countdown to premiere of the Chinese donghua The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming (aka Kun Tun Tianxia Zhi Zhang Men Guilai).
Today, it is a 4-Days to Premiere countdown poster along with the message:
Countdown to 4 days to start! The battle to change your fate is about to begin!
Starting from May 1st, every Thursday at 11:00 AM, new episodes will drop exclusively on Bilibili!
The donghua itself is being animated by Big Firebird Culture (The Super Cube), and produced by Bilibili.
The plot goes like this:
The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming tells the story of a gifted spirit pet master called Fan Lingxiao who ends up being eaten by his own pet whale after he is targeted by some nefarious people during a competition.
When he wakes up, though, he discovers he has been reincarnated as Liu Fengmang, a prisoner in the White Mansion, and also learns that his sect — Lingxiao Pavilion — has almost collapsed.
It is then he decides to take his spirit pets, and head off on a journey with a group of friends in an attempt to revive his beloved sect.
Character PVs for Fen Lingxiao and his catfish spirit pet were also released last week.
Mark your calendars for May 1st as this one is a rare 2D-animated series out of China and, from the character videos alone, it looks excellent.
