Korean drama sets itself up for massive success with its series finale next weekend
Taxi Driver 3, Episode 14 earned its best ever rating on Saturday night as the Lee Je Hoon-led series heads into its series finale next weekend.
According to data via Nielsen Korea, Taxi Driver 3, Episode 14 grabbed 14.2 percent in the nationwide ratings, which was a solid jump from the 12.8 percent the K-drama earned on Friday.
While it didn’t earn its highest ever rating from viewers in Seoul, as that was the 15.2 percent the SBS drama garnered for Episode 12, it did a damn good job of getting close to it with a 15.1 percent of the viewership last night.
Last night’s episode was also the #1 show in its time slot across every TV channel in South Korea.
So yep, we can probably expect Taxi Driver 3 to top even these very high ratings next weekend when its final two episodes drop, right?
International viewers still rating Taxi Driver 3 high
Interestingly, the Korean action thriller is still grabbing very high ratings from My Drama List users, who are currently rating the series an 8.4 out of 10.
Something that is rare on the platform while a drama is still airing.
Comments too are still extremely complementary from almost every user with an opinion about the K-drama.
Meanwhile, IMDB is a more annoying platform, as its immediately obvious ratings are for all three seasons of the drama combined, and are currently at an 8.1 out of 10.
If you dig deeper, however, you will see Season 3 is much higher rated than both previous seasons, with Episodes 13 and 14 currently earning an incredibly high 9.4 and 9.3 out of 10 respectively.
It appears then that the vast majority of K-drama fans watching Taxi Driver 3 are loving what they see. With the extremely high caliber of the series again this season, though, that should probably be a given.
Taxi Driver 3’s main leads are Lee Je Hoon, Pyo Ye Jin and Kim Eui Sung who have all done a stellar job again this season.
The Korean drama’s final two episodes will air next weekend on SBS, with Viki streaming them for international viewers.
It will be interesting to see how high its ratings go then, eh?
