Born on July 4th, 1984, in Seoul, South Korea, South Korean actor Lee Je Hoon discovered his passion for acting at a young age.

Despite facing initial skepticism from his family about pursuing a career in the arts, his determination and natural talent ultimately led him to pursue his dreams.

He enrolled in the Korea National University of Arts, where he honed his skills and laid the groundwork for what would become a thriving career in the entertainment industry.

The actor’s first breakout role

After several years appearing in both films and dramas, Lee’s breakout role came in 2011 with the film “Bleak Night,” where he delivered a riveting performance as a troubled high school student.

His portrayal earned him critical acclaim and garnered attention within the industry, establishing him as a rising star to watch.

Following this success, Lee continued to impress audiences with his range and depth as an actor, taking on diverse roles that showcased his versatility.

One of Lee Je Hoon’s most memorable performances came in the 2012 film “Architecture 101,” where he played the younger version of the male lead.

His portrayal of the character’s youthful innocence and unrequited love struck a chord with audiences, further solidifying his status as a talent to be reckoned with.

The film’s commercial success also catapulted Lee into the spotlight, earning him widespread recognition and acclaim.

The actor is currently starring in Chief Detective 1958

Lee Je Hoon’s recent success

In the years that followed, Lee Je Hoon continued to captivate audiences with a string of acclaimed performances in both film and television.

His role in the 2016 crime thriller “Phantom Detective“ showcased his ability to inhabit complex characters with depth and nuance, earning him praise from critics and fans alike.

He followed this success with another standout performance in the hit drama series “Tomorrow With You,” further cementing his reputation as one of Korea’s most promising actors.

Beyond his acting prowess, Lee Je Hoon is known for his dedication to his craft and his willingness to take on challenging roles that push the boundaries of his abilities.

Whether portraying a conflicted detective in the hit crime drama “Signal”, ex-convict Cho Sang Gu in “Move to Heaven“, or a determined prosecutor in “Taxi Driver,” the Korean actor brings a level of authenticity and emotional depth to each character he embodies, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers.

In addition to his work on screen, Lee Je Hoon has also ventured into the world of stage acting, demonstrating his versatility and passion for his craft.

His commitment to his roles, coupled with his natural charisma and screen presence, has endeared him to audiences around the world, making him a much admired figure in the Korean entertainment industry.

The actor opens his own agency

In recent years, Lee Je Hoon also left his former agency Saram Entertainment to open his own agency COMPANY ON.

The now-39-year-old actor is currently starring in the ongoing MBC drama “Chief Detective 1958″, which premiered this weekend.

He will also star in the upcoming K-drama “Taxi Driver”, Season 3 reprising his role as Kim Do Gi, and in the film “Escape“ alongside Song Kang, and Koo Ky Hwan.

Now here’s a cute video of Lee Je Hoon talking about his ex-girlfriend, just to give you a little idea into his personality. 🙂
