Queen of Tears still in Netflix Top 10 almost a month after it ended

Queen of Tears now in the Netflix Top 10 for 11 weeks
Just to prove how incredibly popular the hit Korean drama Queen of Tears turned out to be this year, while its final episode aired on Netflix almost a month ago (April 28th), the K-drama is still on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart.
Not only on the chart, but sitting in the high #5 spot for the period May 13th to 19th, 2024.
That means Queen of Tears has now been in the Netflix Top 10 for 11 weeks — all 8 weeks it was running, plus three weeks after it ended.
According to Netflix, the Korean drama remained on the chart last week due to getting 1.8 million views, and for a total of 43.1 million hours watched.
Yes, the number of views and the number of hours watched is lower than the previous week (2.5 million/58.7 million hours) but, that the Korean romance drama is still being watched that many times for such a huge number of hours worldwide is pretty damn remarkable.
Let’s see how it does when Netflix releases its next official viewing data next Tuesday then, eh?
The popularity of Queen of Tears and its cast
Queen of Tears, of course, stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, with the K-drama running on tvN in South Korea and on Netflix worldwide from March 9th to April 28th, 2024.
During that time, it also passed hit dramas Crash Landing on You and Sky Castle to become the #3 highest-rated drama of all-time on cable TV in South Korea.
Queen of Tears was also at the top of the Buzzworthy Dramas chart in South Korea for many weeks, with leads Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won at the top of the Buzzworthy Actors chart and other popularity charts for just as long.
And yes, if you still have not watched Queen of Tears, or just want to watch it again and again, the Korean drama is still streaming on Netflix and, due to its incredible popularity, likely to be doing so for a long time to come.
