Link Click Season 3 confirmed – new character Jae Lee, a detective at Bridon Crime Agency, introduced

Fans of the Li Haoling-directed smash-hit donghua Link Click (aka Shiguang Dailiren) are screaming just about now as the official X account for Link Click has just confirmed Season 3 is in production.
This comes on the heels of the Link Click: Bridon Arc — the donghua’s side story that aired from December 27th, 2024 to January 31st, 2025 — and ended with viewers desperate to know what happens next in the lives of Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang.
The announcement also came with a very short teaser trailer for the third season featuring a new character — Jae Lee — who is a detective at the Bridon Crime Agency.
He’s looking for someone but, at this point, we don’t know who.
Eagle-eye fans also noticed a photo of our beloved Emma from Link Click, Season 1 on paperwork the detective is looking at.
Emma, who is easily one of the most loved characters in the entire series, you will remember, died in Season 1.
But we have seen her in a couple of flashbacks in Season 2, and she was also mentioned in the Bridon Arc.
Wouldn’t it be great then if we eventually get her back??!!

The Link Click franchise production details
While no details have been released about Season 3 as of yet, we do know prolific voice actor Chenzhang Taikang is voicing Jae Lee.
You will know his voice from other characters he has played — Pingan Chen in Sword of Coming, Lan Yuan in Mo Dao Zu Shi, Mo Yun in Left Hand-Layup!, and Xiaobai “Joybo” Jiang in What’s Wrong with My Big Brother?
Iconic director Li Haoling has directed the previous seasons, and the Bridon Arc, so changes are he will be doing that again here.
The first season of the Link Click donghua premiered on April 30th, 2021 and ran through July 9th, 2021.
A special episode Link Click Episode 5.5 was also released in May of the same year.

But, it was then two more years before Link Click, Season 2 hit on July 14th, 2023 and ran through September 22nd, 2023, followed by side story Link Click: Bridon Arc running from December 27th, 2024 to January 31st, 2025.
The plots for Link Click, Seasons 1 and 2 and the Bridon Arc
As for the Chinese anime’s plot, the original story was created by director Li Haoling, with the plots for both seasons, and the Bridon Arc, going like this:
Season 1
In a bustling city, tucked away in a quiet corner, a small shop called “Time Photo Studio” remains open for business. Though it has few customers, it is secretly run by two men with extraordinary abilities—Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang.To fulfill their clients’ requests, the duo teams up to use their supernatural powers to enter photographs. However, things don’t go as smoothly as they had hoped…
Season 2
In pursuit of the mastermind behind a series of crimes, Cheng Xiaoshi seeks help from Xiao Li, searching for every hidden clue lurking in the shadows. Episode 0: Bridon Arc
To save Cheng Xiaoshi from death, Lu Guang returns to the beginning, retracing the path of fate for a fresh start. However, a photograph containing clues about Cheng Xiaoshi’s parents appears at the Time Photo Studio.Determined to uncover the truth, Lu Guang sets off for Bridon with Cheng Xiaoshi, his heart filled with unease.
They encounter the seemingly friendly top model Xia Fei, the eccentric leader of Chinatown—Vein, and the mysteriously reappearing Liu Xiao.
Surrounded by people with hidden agendas, can Lu Guang break through the inescapable dead end foretold by fate?
