During the Disney APAC Content Showcase in Singapore earlier today, Disney+ released a Bullet/Bullet trailer, a dynamic key visual and a premiere time frame.
That time frame is sometime in Summer, 2025, while the trailer and key visual gives us a glimpse into the anime’s art style.
The new Bullet/Bullet key visual, which features a car speeding away while full of strange looking people/beings, was created by the anime’s character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu and concept designer Hidetaki Tenjin.
Bullet/Bullet, of course, is the previously announced original anime series from creator and director Park Seong Hu (Ninja Kamui and Jujutsu Kaisen) and animation studio E&H Production, who animated Ninja Kamui, and is also owned by Park.
Yes, this is pretty-much a one-man-created-and-directed production — and, if history serves us well, that type of things tends to serve up some of the more interesting anime series.
Along with the new Bullet/Bullet trailer and key visual, Disney+ also announced the anime’s main staff.
They are:
- Aki Kindaichi (Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) — series composition and scripts
- Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Overlord) — character designer and chief animation director
- Hidetaki Tenjin (Space Battleship Yamato) — concept designer
- Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Yakuza Fiance) — music composition
And yes, very little has been released about Bullet/Bullet up until now.
To the point that, until earlier today, we knew nothing about its plot, and nothing about its characters or its anime genre.
Having said that, Disney Singapore just released this little tidbit of a hint on their official X channel about the anime’s plot:
From the director of Jujutsu Kaisen comes a brand new series following a team of thieves who find themselves in a world of trouble after completing their latest job.
Now that sounds like fun, right?
From the just-released Bullet/Bullet teaser trailer, and from the projects creator Park has been involved in before as well, it is obviously going to have a high-action plot, and some pretty decent animation.
