New Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 key visual has the boys geared up and ready to play
It has been almost six years since baseball-themed anime Ace of Diamond Act II started its run, with fans worrying they would never get to see the continuation of that story for much of that time.
Today, however, all those worries can be brushed away as the long-awaited sequel Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 finally has a concrete premiere date.
Well, at least more concrete than the last time it was mentioned — some time in April, 2026.
So yep, the popular anime is finally confirmed as definitely releasing, and not too far away either.
Along with the premiere date announcement, Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 also released a key visual featuring star players Eijun Sawamura, Satoru Furuya and Kazuya Miyuki all geared up and ready to hit the field, and announced the anime’s main production staff.

Production details for Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 also announced
We have known the anime was likely coming for a year or two at this point, but no information has been forthcoming about its production staff or its studio.
As of today, we know Hideaki Oba (Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me) is directing, which may be somewhat of an odd choice as he doesn’t seem to have any experience directing a sports anime or any connection to the long-running Ace of Diamond series. But okay.
At least Kenji Konuta is back in charge of series composition, though, so the story should be consistent, while Yasukazu Shouji (Restaurant to Another World) is now in charge of character design.
Studio OLM (animators of The Apothecary Diaries and Major among many other hit anime) is taking over animation from Madhouse.
Considering just about everything OLM puts out is stellar, that will likely mean Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 should be on a par with its previous seasons when it comes to quality, if not even better.
So, yep, pretty good news overall then. Expect more to drop as we get closer to its release date.
