100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 181 recap – Xu Yang destroys the fake “White God”

Recap of 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 181, “Secrets of Tianlan“
If you read our recap of last week’s episode of the 100,000 Years of Qi Refining donghua, you will remember we left Xu Yang and Chief Manying at The Great Flower God Tomb at the end of the episode, having just discovered a woman who could possibly be a Tianlan Sect disciple.
Our 100,000 Years of Qi Refining Ep 181 recap then starts off with the pair asking the woman who she is, and why she is there.
After all, she is sitting in a circle of golden light, surrounded by buildings that are falling down, and with nobody else around for miles.
Xu Yang names the spell she is being protected by as a ‘Wilderness Sky’ spell.
It turns out the woman is an ancient Tianlan Sect member who begins to go crazy when she sees Xu Yang and Manying watching her, but Xu Yang ignores her and calmly uses his power to remove the ‘Wilderness Sky’ cast.
The woman is shocked, and asks Xu Yang how he was able to remove her “space-time” manipulation.
When Manying responds telling her this is Ancestor Xu of Tianlan Sect, and controlling space-time is easy for him, the woman is amazed that Xu Yang is the leader of Tianlan Sect as, the last time she heard, Immortal Jue was still the leader of the sect.
She then wants to know how many people survived after the Tianlan Sect was attacked? What happened to all the disciples? Is the sect safe?
Xu Yang does not reply, but she can see by his face that most people did not survive The Catastrophe of the Nine Realms attack.
But Manying replies, saying that event was tens of thousands of years ago, which amazes the woman as she cannot believe she has been trapped at The Great Flower God Tomb for so long.
When Xu Yang asks her what happened, she tells him her name is Xueliu and she was a Tianlan Sect disciple, but she left the sect taking others with her when it was attacked.
When they arrived at The Great Flower God Tomb, she cast the ‘Wilderness Sky’ spell to seal the place. That way, nobody could follow them and kill them.
The problem was, sealing the space also meant the disciples died one by one as nobody could leave. That included Xueliu as, even when she died, her spirit became trapped in that space.
As she realizes she, in effect, killed her own people, Xueliu casts ‘Wilderness Sky’ again and the space around her and around Xu Yang and Manying begins to collapse.
But Xu Yang snaps his fingers and stops her, and her soul then begins to dissipate until she has completely disappeared leaving behind the warning “Beware of the Sky God. He will destroy Tianlan Sect”.
Back on the starship back to Dongmao City
Our recap of 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 181 continues as Xu Yang and Manying are now back on the spaceship heading to Manying’s auction house in Dongmao City.
But, when they arrive, the place is empty until her assistant, Zhou Yuan, runs up telling her “The Hundred Years King is dead”.
Xu Yang then asks the strange question, “Where is the God?”
Manying is confused, until she realizes he may mean the Baishen Sect, as they have now become a cult that is headed by a so-called “God”.
That’s all it takes for Xu Yang to leave and travel to the Baishen Immortal Region.
But, before he arrives, we see someone calling himself “The White God” asking Baishen sect members to kowtow to him, and requesting they give him money.
Of course, as soon as Xu Yang arrives that all changes, as he snaps his fingers, kills the fake god and his helpers, and then turns to the disciples.
But, when they accuse Xu Yang of murdering their God, and that they will die rather than accept that he was correct in doing so, he happily agrees to their request and kills them too.
Well, yep, that’s Xu Yang for you.
100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 181 ends at that point, with Xu Yang about to continue on his investigatory journey to find out who was really behind the destruction of the Tianlan Sect, and why.
