100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Ep 184 – “Greetings from the Space Connection“
Xu Yang is back and stronger than ever – if that’s even possible.
You will remember we left him in Episode 183 having returned the Changming Immortal Region to the lush greenery it had before it was cultivated to extinction, while also launching Master Tu off into space, he was so sick of him.
This time, in our 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 184 recap, Xu Yang is still in the lands of Sehnguang Sect, but it won’t be long before that sect is no more.
A full recap of 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 184
The episode begins with two disciples at Shenguang Sect talking about how Master Tu has gone off to Changming for more cultivation grass.
Seconds later, however, Master Tu arrives back, flying through the air and smashing into a nearby tree.
Yep, that’s what happens when you are at the wrong end of Xu Yang’s power, and he can’t stand you.
Of course, as you might expect, arrogant Master Tu still hasn’t learned his lesson as he climbs down from the tree, berates the two disciples for wondering if he “flew back by himself” instead of in his space ship, and heads off to make sure Xu Yang gets hit with payback from the rest of the Shenguang Sect.
Turns out, though, this isn’t Master Tu’s day as, when he goes in front of the Head Priest and asks him to destroy Xu Yang, when the priest hears that there is only normal grass in the Changming Immortal Region, as the spiritual grass has been destroyed by Xu Yang, he is furious.
But, as an example of the “normal grass”, Master Tu shows the priest one leaf, only for the priest to immediately realize this one leaf can immediately increase his enlightenment. Such is the power of Xu Yang.
Master Tu then stands there in amazement as the priest breaks through to the next level of enlightenment — just from that one tiny leaf.
He is then just as shocked when the Head Priest rushes forward, grabs him by the neck and demands to know where he can find Xu Yang.
After all, somebody so powerful can never be allowed to join another sect. (Little do they know, eh?)
Xu Yang reincarnates Xueliu
Back to Xu Yang, and he has just reincarnated Xueliu, the centuries-old Tianlan Sect disciple we originally met in Episode 180, and then saw her dissipate into the atmosphere in Episode 181.
Xueliu is amazed to be back in her body and feeling so powerful. She thanks Xu Yang for saving her, but is still devastated that the rest of her clan is dead.
Xu Yang tells her the tears she is crying are for the old Tianlan Sect, and promises her present day Tianlan Sect will never make her cry.
He then asks her what she remembers from that time, and Xueliu recounts her story about arriving at the sect for the first time as a new disciple.
She remembers being worried about shaming the sect by making mistakes, but the Master at the time told her she would never do that as long as she never felt guilty.
But, as Xueliu remembers a strange man arriving at the sect, and everything beginning to collapse, a strange entity takes over her body and propels her up into the air, as red strands of light shoot off her.
Xu Yang calmly asks the entity who he is and, at that point, Xueliu is dropped to the ground and the entity disappears.
When she wakes up, however, she has no memory of anything that happened at Tianlan Sect, and it is then Xu Yang informs her that somebody wiped her memory those many centuries ago.
And it is very likely it was a God.
No sooner had the words left his mouth, when the Head Priest and Master Tu suddenly arrive above them in a spaceship.
The Head Priest, drunk on his own power, shouts down to Xu Yang that, if he joins the Shenguang Sect, he will make him head priest. He just has to swear loyalty to their God.
Of course, Xu Yang is barely listening, but pays attention long enough to kill the two men and take their space ship.
He and Xueliu then fly off into space.
Longxiao Sect is going to capture Xu Yang?
Our 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 184 recap ends with a disciple rushing into the Longxiao Sect Palace shouting there is an emergency, and when the leader of the sect tells him to calm down, he does and then calmly replies that the Shenguang Sect has been destroyed.
Two officials then arrive in spiritual form to inform the leader Xu Yang is the person who destroyed the sect.
The leader replies that Xu Yang must be a scapegoat, as no one person could destroy an entire sect. (They really are arrogant and clueless!)
It is then decided they need to capture Xu Yang to find out.
Yep, that’s going to happen, right?
As usual, 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episode 184 moved the story along again as it adds one more layer to the mystery of who destroyed the Tianlan Sect thousands of years ago, and why.
It also shows Xu Yang not only destroying, but also creating as he gives Xueliu a new lease on life after being dead for so many years.
