SBS drama Would You Marry Me, Episode 7 aired on Friday night to excellent ratings.
Especially as much of South Korea was excited about the KBO (Korea Baseball Organization) game between the LG Twins and the Hanwha Eagles, and maybe not in the mood for a drama.
That’s why the Would You Marry Me, Episode 7 ratings, which just released via Nielsen Korea, are superb.
They are 6.5 percent nationwide, versus the 7.1 percent the Korean drama earned for its previous episode. That is only a .06 percent drop on one of the most hyped baseball game days of the year. Not bad, eh?
Would You Marry Me also performed even better in Seoul, where its seventh episode grabbed 6.90 percent, which is only a 0.30 percent drop from the 7.20 percent the K-drama garnered last Saturday.
Both ratings also meant the K-drama was the most-watched show of the day on Friday, after the coverage of the LG Twins and Hanwha Eagles game.
International ratings for Would You Marry Me after Episode 7
Nicely, the ratings have also seen a slight rise on sites like My Drama List (MDL) where, the Korean drama began its ratings with an 8.0 out of 10 when it premiered, and then jumped to an 8.1 out of 10 after last week’s episode.
That slight ratings rise has also been maintained after Episode 7, which is a good sign considering disgruntled viewers using that site are often harsh about the actors/writing/cinematography/directing etc of Korean dramas, and will quickly tank a drama’s ratings for no good reason in particular.

Would You Marry Me is doing similarly well on IMDB, where it is also earning the same solid 8.1 out of 10.
Meanwhile, Would You Marry Me is also performing well on Disney+, where it is in the Top 10 in 5 countries — Hong Kong (#2), Japan (#5), Singapore (#2), South Korea (#1), and Taiwan (#1).
In other words, the SBS drama is having a solid run with excellent ratings, and looks to have set itself up for excellent ratings results for its final five episodes. Yay!
Would You Marry Me stars Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min, and will see its next episode dropping on SBS in South Korea, and on Disney+ internationally, later on tonight. Look out for it.
Update, November 2nd: Would You Marry Me continued its success on Saturday night, with Episode 8 grabbing its best Saturday ratings so far.
