Donghua animation studio Wonder Cat Animation (aka Wanwei Renhe (Beijing) Technology Co. Ltd, is one of the newer Chinese studios, having only been founded in 2019.
The company’s founders, however, are well-versed in the Chinese animation business as they were industry veterans themselves.
That is likely why, since its inception, Wonder Cat Animation has concentrated on developing its own copyrighted works, while it has opened departments that are involved in almost every aspect of animation production and distribution.
The animation studio has also expanded its operations so that it now runs two offices — one in Beijing and one in Shanghai.
In addition, Wonder Cat has been successful in creating relationships with the big video platforms almost right from its founding — Bilibili, Tencent Video and Youku being just three of them.
That is just one of the many reasons why its animated works are seeing such success.
