The ongoing MBC drama Undercover High School, Episode 5 aired last night to the highest Friday night ratings of its run so far.
An exceptionally good result considering it also airs in the same time slot as the popular SBS crime drama Buried Hearts, which also performed extremely well in the ratings last night.
Via Nielsen Korea, the nationwide rating for Undercover High School, Episode 5 was 7.2 percent, which is a very nice increase from last Friday night’s 6.6 percent of the audience share.
The Korean drama’s viewership in Seoul also saw an increase, garnering 7.0 percent compared to last Friday’s 6.7 percent.
As Undercover High School has also earned its highest ratings since it premiered for its Saturday evening episode, rather than the one airing on Friday, it’s highly likely it will see even higher ratings tonight.

Meanwhile, international viewers are rating Undercover High School (aka 언더커버하이스쿨) with very high ratings.
Over 2,600 My Drama List users are currently awarding the K-drama an average of 8.5 out of 10, while more than 2,300 Viki users are giving it an incredibly high 9.8 out of 10.

I really can’t believe this was on my least anticipated K-drama list. I was like, “There is absolutely no way I would like this cringy plot.” But SKJ is absolutely nailing his comeback series. And I really love how our FL is upright and straightforward, but not dumb or reckless.
