There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… sequel’s trailer features all our favorite girls
The recently ended comedy Girls’ Love anime There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… is getting a movie as its sequel — well, it’s technically five more episodes, that are then going to get a theatrical cut in Japan.
A theatrical cut that also got a high-energy and very cute full-length trailer earlier today.
The film itself is due to release in Japanese theaters on November 21st.
It is titled There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine!~ and covers all the events of Volume 4 of the light novel series.
And no, the ~Next Shine!~ film may not be the absolute end of the anime, as there are eight volumes of the light novel out in Japanese, so plenty more material for another full season. At least.
But the film will take the cute and often very funny story to the next level.

The new ~Next Shine!~ trailer stars every one of the best characters in Season 1 of the anime, makes it look like the upcoming film comprises the same exceptionally good animation, and features the same beautiful art style.
Yep, I’m looking forward to this one, aren’t you?
Production details for There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine!~
While production details haven’t dropped for the anime film as yet, they are likely to be the same as Season 1 of the anime series considering the film is releasing so close to its series finale.
Season 1 is directed by Natsumi Uchinuma (Episode director of More Than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers), with Naruhisa Arakawa (Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle) in charge of series composition, and Hirokazu Kojima (Lazarus) designing those adorably sweet characters.
Studio MOTHER, who also animated Arifureta: From a Detour to the World’s Strongest, animated.
If you’re in Japan, look out for the film releasing in theaters on November 21st. Everywhere else, it looks like it will be coming out as a five-episode anime series later in the year.
